Famous vans

If you are a van owner and driver you will understand and appreciate the importance of your van in your life.

Just like famous cars such as Herbie and Knight Rider there are equally famous vans from the big screen and TV.  Here's some famous vans you may recognise.

Postman Pat's van, this red Royal Mail van is based on a real-life Bedford HA and is as famous as Pat and his little black cat.

The Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo has famously taken Scooby Doo and his gang on adventures all over the world.  This van is probably one of the most recognised vans in the world.

The A team's famous van is a 1983 black and grey GMC Vandura and is instantly recognisable with its red trims and spoiler on the top and has been chasing the bad guys for years.

Closer to home is the Reliant Royal Robin from Only Fools and Horses. This yellow three-wheeled van transported Del Boy and Rodney Trotter around in this long running BBC sitcom. The Reliant Robin vans were made in Tamworth between 1953 and 1973.  It is believed that there are only eight of these vans left in the world.

Another famous van is from the film Dumb and Dumber, the Mutts Cutts van. The stars of this film spent their life savings converting this van into a mobile dog grooming business, making the van look like a fluffy dog.

From the film Back to the Future Doc Brown's famous van was used to transport the plutonium to power the Delorean time convertor.

Vans play such a great role in our everyday lives and on the TV and big screen.  Here at CVS we love the vans we sell and realise the important role they play in our customers lives.  Whatever your commercial vehicle needs you'll find the perfect used van at our site in Warrington.
