Have you ever thought about doing a van conversion?

Have you ever considered converting a van into a mobile home?  Cheshire Vehicle Supplies sell vans of all shapes and sizes and a few of our customers have purchased one of our vans to convert into a bespoke camper van.

A van conversion does require good planning and careful thought about your specific needs and requirements.

The ideal vans for camper conversions are long wheel base, high roof vans such as the Fiat Ducato, VW Transporter, Volkswagen Crafter and the Renault Master.

Once you've decided on a van you'll need to have a plan for your conversion.

It's a great idea to research this and look at different conversions on the internet to get ideas about your van conversion.

There are companies that will do your conversion for you or you can, if you poses the necessary skills, carry out the conversion yourself, imagine the satisfaction you'll feel once you've completed your new mobile home!

Start with a list of absolutely "must have" things you need in your van.  These are things you can't live without like a bed, fridge, cooker, sink, toilet, heating and storage space.

Next make another list of things you would like but are not essentials.  In this list should be things that will make your van more comfortable and homely like a table, shower and charging points.

Once you've decided all these things you can have fun designing where everything will go.  It's so important to consider this carefully to make the most of your space.  Get everyone who will be using the van involved and sketch or use an application to draw out your plans.

I hope this blog may have inspired some of you to embark on a van conversion of your own and if you need help deciding which van to convert the team at CVS, Warrington will be happy to help and advise you.
