Keeping healthy on the roads
Being behind a wheel all day can be pretty taxing. Put a manual job on top of that and you could be left feeling out of sorts. Keeping active and healthy on the roads can be hard but here are our top tips to get you on the right track.
Healthy snacks
We know all to well how tempting it is to crack open the crisps when you’re on the road, but the packets soon add up and it much better to snack on something healthier. Try switching out your treats for something a little healthier and notice how much better you feel!
Three proper meals
Breakfast is of course the most important meal of the day, but it is just important to get those other two in. Make sure you are eating three meals a day – no one likes to be hangry do they.
15 minutes a day
Squeeze in 15 minutes of exercise every day. This will be easier if you have a manual job but for those who spend more time on the road than on the tools, this is so important! Whether you opt for push ups, planks, crunches or some cardio, a little exercise will leave you feeling fitter, we promise you.
Get some small equipment
It’s not the worst idea in the world to get some equipment that you can take on your travels. Whether it’s a kettle bell or a resistance band, you will be able to squeeze in your exercise on your breaks or if you are on a long trip, you will have your equipment with you for your stop offs and evenings.
